Baby alligator hatches 'Jurassic Park' style at Reptile Park


The head of the Australian Reptile Park shared video of a baby alligator hatching from its egg in a style reminiscent of "a scene from Jurassic Park."
Tim Faulkner, general manager of the Australian Reptile Park, posted a video to Facebook showing the alligator emerging from its egg and taking its first steps on slime-covered legs.
The newborn alligator makes its first vocalizations before it is even visible through the cracked shell.
"Baby alligators hatching -- looks like a scene from Jurassic Park!!!" Faulkner wrote.

Canada to make sale of Marijuana Legal

The Canadian government will introduce legislation next year that would make the sale of marijuana legal, its health minister has said. If enacted, the move would make Canada one of the largest Western countries to allow widespread use of the drug. Health Minister Jane Philpott pledged on Wednesday to keep marijuana "out of the hands of children and profits out of the hands of criminals". Prime Minister Justin Trudeau pushed for legalisation during his campaign. The announcement coincided with 20 April - an unofficial holiday among cannabis advocates. Hundreds of marijuana users demonstrated outside Parliament in Ottawa on Wednesday. Medical use of marijuana is already legal in Canada. Dozens of cats found living in car with mum and daughter

A 70-YEAR-OLD woman and her 41-year-old daughter have been arrested after they were found living in a filthy mini-van with 38 cats and newborn kittens. Fox  reports that police were called to check on the homeless family and called in animal control after they found the mini-van stinking of urine and faeces.
