Today's exam cheats will be tomorrow's corruption architects


The 2015 KCSE results were unceremoniously released last week. Across the country, more than 5,000 families are in mourning. Children from these families have nothing to show that they attended secondary schools for four years - thanks to the cancellation of their KCSE results due to ‘examinations irregularities’.This would translate to more than 63 two streamed schools across the country having all their results cancelled. Some leaked 2015 KCSE exam papers and marking schemes were available to many students across the country. It is safe to argue that the smart students who had access to the leaked papers were not penalized since they were clever enough not to copy from one another. Thus as we celebrate the top scorers, we may be actually idolizing smart cheats.

SCIENTISTS have discovered a trio of Earth-like planets that are the best bet so far for finding life outside our solar system. The three orbit an ultracool dwarf star a mere 39 light years away, and are likely comparable in size and temperature to Earth and Venus, they reported in a study, published in  Nature . “This is the first opportunity to find chemical traces of life outside our solar system,” said lead author Michael Gillon, an astrophysicist at the University of Liege in Belgium. If you think you've heard it all then prepare to be shocked with this new bit of information - there's a new church in the US that uses cannabis as a spiritual food! Yes, you heard right. The International Church of Cannabis is a new church opened yesterday in Denver, Colorado, United States, that allows the use of cannabis as holy communion to lead you closer to God. Dozens of cats found living in car with mum and daughter

A 70-YEAR-OLD woman and her 41-year-old daughter have been arrested after they were found living in a filthy mini-van with 38 cats and newborn kittens. Fox  reports that police were called to check on the homeless family and called in animal control after they found the mini-van stinking of urine and faeces.
